In 2016, she began her career as an oil painter. “I have never applied myself to anything so completely before in my life”, says Rebekah. “Painting the world around me has become all consuming, which is wonderful.”

“I keep my Rebekah Nordstrom painting in my office so I can see it every day. I love how she perfectly captured the sunny golden color of the late-summer sunflower fields at the foot of Flagstaff’s mountain peaks. Whenever I look at this painting, I can remember my own past trips to those flower-fields. A breath of fresh air, in painting format!”

“I was so excited to see Rebekah’s paintings  at her ’30 in 30′ Art show as, throughout January, I had avidly followed her blog, enjoying her words and thoughts about each  of her paintings. I then waited patiently to see my favourites in real life, and I have to say they did not disappoint. Her paintings brought a smile to my face, I loved the colours , lightness and simplicity of subject and a little group of lemons called “Last and First” just had to come home with me that night!”

I’ve known Rebekah for over 10 years now and have always been wowed by her impeccable sense of style and creative talents in all of her pursuits. Nonetheless, I was really impressed when she decided to live life with no regrets and not only decided to learn to paint, but jumped in whole heartedly. I am the proud owner of the original bobber painting ‘Unsinkable!’ from her first successful completion of 30 paintings in 30 days. I love this little painting – so much depth (light, shadow, composition) in such a simple subject. Rebekah will go far as an accomplished oil painter – she has the drive, discipline, business sense and pure talent. And this is just the beginning!
